Short version: Daylight collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no tracking. Everything you do stays on your device.
Nothing. Daylight has no user accounts and no backend. Your favorites, your own written lines, reflections, streak, and settings are stored only on your device (and, for widgets, in a private app group readable only by Daylight). None of it is transmitted to us or anyone else.
Daylight contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you and we have no way to identify you.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device through Apple's notification system. Their content — the affirmations — is generated on-device. No notification data leaves your phone.
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you choose your own photo as a theme, it is copied into Daylight's private storage on your device and never uploaded anywhere. You can remove it at any time in Settings → Theme.
If you tap “Send feedback”, “Report a problem”, or “Send last crash report” in Settings, Daylight opens an email pre-filled with your app version, device model, iOS version, and recent in-app activity, so we can help. Nothing is sent unless you press send in your mail app, and you can edit or delete any of it first. Crash details are captured on-device via Apple's MetricKit and are never transmitted automatically.
Daylight offers an age setting at onboarding that keeps content gentle and profanity-free, and provides crisis-resource links in Settings. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — because we collect nothing at all.
Settings → “Delete all my data” erases everything instantly. Deleting the app also removes all of it, including every scheduled notification.
